We have invested in 23 innovative cleantech companies. We see approximately ten companies for every investment made.
For 2016, BVP is pleased to announce the following two options for investors:
Option 1: The 10th BVP Green EII Fund
Our Investment strategy
The primary objectives of the Fund is to provide Investors with the opportunity to invest across a portfolio of Qualifying Companies and therefore benefit from the tax relief provisions of the EII Scheme and the expected growth in the value of the shares from the date of investment to the date of realisation. Through its expertise in the cleantech industry, BVP will invest in a range of areas which may include trading activities in recycling, energy efficiency, agriculture, energy storage, water, renewable energy generation and transportation.
The Fund is approved by the Revenue Commissioners under the Employment and Investment Incentive (“EII”) scheme. EII is a tax relief incentive scheme, which enables investors to deduct the cost of their qualifying investment from their total income for income tax purposes. The target investor return is projected to be 15% (incl. tax relief).
Option 2: Cloghaneleskirt Wind Farm EIIS
Unique EII investment opportunity
Cloghaneleskirt Wind Farm Limited (‘CWF’) presents an opportunity to invest in the construction of Cloghaneleskirt Wind Farm (‘the Wind Farm’) and the generation of electricity for sale to the National Grid via power purchase agreement. The Promoters, Mr. Peter and Mrs. Helen O’Brien, have already committed €0.6m to the project. The Promoters have assembled a first-class team of advisors for the project.
Land in County Kerry on which the turbines and on-site substation are to be constructed is held by one of the Promoters, Helen O’Brien. The land will be subject of a lease agreement with the option to acquire a freehold interest if required. The project has capacity for five wind turbines which could generate 2.3 MW each. Turbines are to be provided by Enercon, a manufacturer based in Germany and planning permission has been obtained from Kerry County Council. A grid connection offer is secured and power purchase agreement (PPA) has been entered into with a third party licensed electricity supplier.
The target investor return is projected to be 15% (incl. tax relief).
