Stephen Burdock is an Executive Director of Business Venture Partners (BVP), the Dublin-based venture investor and manager of EIIS tax-efficient investment funds. He is driven by a passion for identifying and supporting the next generation of transformative businesses, and works on BVP’s investments across the BVP 2026 EII Fund and wider portfolio.
Experience in equity and debt investment
With a career spanning over 15 years in financial services, Stephen has dedicated his expertise to fostering innovation and driving growth. His philosophy centres on sustainable investment, backing entrepreneurs and disruptive technologies that have the potential to reshape industries.
With a background in equity and debt investments, Stephen has successfully led transactions in renewables, technology, mobility, consumer goods and services, and a range of other sectors. His experience extends across project financing and Seed to Series funding. He is a graduate of University College Dublin.
Working with founders
Beyond providing capital, Stephen is deeply involved in supporting the growth of the companies he backs. He collaborates closely with founders and is a board representative for many of the companies he has invested in, providing insight and mentorship as they scale.
