Carrickallen Wind Limited (‘Carrickallen’) presented an opportunity to invest in the construction of Carrickallen Wind Farm (‘the Wind Farm’) and the generation of electricity for sale to the National Grid via power purchase agreement. The Promoters, Galetech Energy Developments Limited (‘GED’) and other shareholders, had already committed €1.5m to the project. Collectively, the Promoters had developed over 350MWs of wind projects both in Ireland and internationally.
