BVP opens its 20th EII Fund, offering up to 50% income tax relief

The 2026 BVP EII Fund is now open to investors. It's BVP's 20th BES and EII fund since 2007, offering up to 50% income tax relief, and closes on 31 December 2026.

2026 BVP EII Fund

Our 20th fund is now open

Business Venture Partners (BVP) has opened the 2026 BVP EII Fund, its 20th fund under the Employment and Investment Incentive Scheme (EIIS) and its predecessor, the Business Expansion Scheme.

The fund gives investors the opportunity to back ambitious Irish SMEs while claiming up to 50% of their investment back against income tax. It targets blended tax relief of 35% at fund level and a 15% IRR including tax relief. The launch follows Budget 2027, which confirmed the extension of the EII scheme.

A track record built over 20 funds

Recent exits include Kinzen, acquired by Spotify, which returned 3x investors’ capital, and Vizor Technology, which develops grid monitoring technology for electricity network operators. BVP invested in Vizor from its 2021 Fund in December 2022. The company went on to win the main ESB Networks LV monitoring tender and was acquired by Nasdaq-listed Analog Devices in March 2026, returning 1.93x to investors, an IRR of 22.3%.*

BVP publishes its returns fund by fund, including remaining value still being managed towards exit, so investors can see exactly how previous funds have performed.
